Pradyumna Nag is a Chartered Accountant with a post-graduate degree in International Business Strategy from IIFT, Delhi. He has over 2 decades of experience in organisational strategy, corporate finance & performance management and investment banking. He has been in an advisory capacity for organisations that have raised over $500mn in private equity across over 20 countries.
Nag pioneered an industry-first ‘growth-partner’ model to organisations through various stages while helping develop innovative capital strategies to achieve strategic imperatives. He has also advised and built out the financial frameworks for large private equity firms, creating new-age operating models for themselves and decision frameworks for their portfolio companies.
In addition to this, Nag has also contributed to the professional development of his field, contributing with publications like ‘How to Value a Running Enterprise’ for the Valuation Standards Board, the ‘Indian Education Report 2019’ and focused articles for international journals. He has also been the Co-Convener State of Karnataka, PIOCCI (Chamber of Commerce for People of Indian Origin) and a co-opted member of the Committee on Corporate Law, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code and Valuation Standards and the Committee on Public Accounting and Government Affairs of the Southern India Regional Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
He has also been a speaker at various international forums like The Indonesia Economic Forum, Entrepreneur Magazine Summit and other industry conferences. He also occasionally takes lectures on technical matters such as valuations, corporate finance, investment banking, emerging financing strategies & M&A for Chartered Accountants in the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
Nag is an avid reader and a trained suicide counsellor with the SAHAI Program of the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences, Bengaluru.
