Rajesh has been a practicing lawyer since 1988. His areas of specialization include Financial Services, Commercial Laws, Real Estate, and Private Client Practice. He advises several leading foreign and Indian banks, financial institutions, real estate players, corporate and industrial houses.

He has successfully led numerous negotiations and is regularly consulted on business solutions and strategies. He regularly advises on routine, complex financial, and commercial matters,
personal and business succession matters.

He is actively engaged in strengthening business and legal relationships across the Indo-Japan and Indo-UAE corridors, advising clients on cross-border investments, strategic partnerships, and market entry initiatives. Reflecting SNG & Partners’ strong commitment to Japan-focused advisory services, His Excellency Mr. Kenji Hiramatsu-San, former Ambassador of Japan to India (2015-2019), serves as Senior Advisor to the Firm’s Japan Desk.

Rajesh was a special invitee by the IBA and the RBI in connection with the amendment of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949. He was retained by the banking industry for the implementation in the SARFAESI Act, 2002. He has advised NeSL with setting up of First Utilities Services under the Indian Bankruptcy Code, 2016.

He has authored and revised several books on banking laws and practices.

He is a regular speaker at leading forums in India and overseas, frequently addressing issues of legal and commercial significance.

He has served on several boards and committees, including HDFC Limited.

He is also an Advisor – Strategic Matters to Bharatiya Vyapar Mission and has been a Member of the CII Task Force on Judicial Reforms. He has Chaired the Banking and Finance Reforms Sub- Committee of the CII on Legal Services from 2023-2026

Rajesh has been named an India A-List Icon in the India Business Law Journal (IBLJ) A-List 2026. He has been consistently acknowledged for his expertise in Banking & Finance, Private Client Practice, Real Estate, and Succession Planning (Family Office). Legal 500 Asia Pacific Rankings 2026 has acknowledged him as a Leading Partner for Private Client Practice.

In April 2026, he was honoured with the Award of Distinction – Outstanding Lawyer of the Year for Excellence in the Field of Law at the Legal Conclave & Awards 2026, New Delhi, under the aegis of the Society of Indian Law Firms (SILF). He was also conferred with the Legal Excellence Award for Outstanding Contribution & Excellence as a Law Leader in Banking & Finance Industry at the 15th Annual Legal Era – Indian Legal Awards 2026.
