Rajesh has been a practicing lawyer since 1988. His areas of specialization include Financial Services, Commercial Laws, Real Estate, and Private Client Practice. He is an advisor to several leading foreign and Indian banks, financial institutions, real estate players, corporate and industrial Houses.

Rajesh has successfully led several negotiations and is consulted on business solutions and strategy. He regularly advises on routine, complex financial, and commercial matters, and personal laws.

Rajesh was a special invitee by the IBA and the RBI in connection with the amendment of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949. He was retained by the banking industry for the implementation in the SARFAESI Act, 2002. He has advised NeSL with setting up of First Utilities Services under the Indian Bankruptcy Code, 2016. He has authored and revised several books on banking laws and practices.

Rajesh is a regular speaker at various forums in India and overseas on matters of legal significance.

Rajesh Chaired the Banking and Finance Reforms SubCommittee of the CII National Committee on Legal Services for the last three years. He was also a Member of the Task Force on Judicial Reforms set up by CII National Committee on Legal Services for the year 2025-2026.

Rajesh has been named an India A-List Icon in the India Business Law Journal (IBLJ) A-List 2026. He has been regularly acknowledged for his expertise in Banking & Finance, Private Client Practice, Real Estate, and Succession Planning (Family Office). Legal 500 Asia Pacific Rankings 2026 has acknowledged him as a Leading Partner for Private Client Practice.

Rajesh has served on several boards and committees, including HDFC Limited.

In April 2026, Rajesh was honoured with the Award of Distinction – Outstanding Lawyer of the Year for Excellence in the Field of Law at the Legal Conclave & Awards 2026, New Delhi, under the aegis of the Society of Indian Law Firms (SILF).

Rajesh was conferred with the Legal Excellence Award for Outstanding Contribution & Excellence as a Law Leader in Banking & Finance Industry at the 15th Annual Legal Era – Indian Legal Awards 2026.

In Chambers and Partners HNW Guide, Rajesh is recognized as a notable legal practitioner in cross-border mandates in estate planning, wills, private trust company setups and related trust matters. He is also recognized as “Lawyer of the Year – Private Client” in the Indian Legal Awards presented by Legal Era.
